Kitten Knowledge

Pipa was supposed to be a temporary roommate, but I wasn't prepared for how quickly I would fall in love with the kitty. She taught me many things in a short amount of time. Her needs are so basic; she doesn’t need me to do much, just feed and water her, play with her, and pet her every now and then.  This is enough for her, and I realize how awesome I am for feeding myself every day! It doesn’t matter if I’m not the greatest at certain skills, or that I have a pretty boring job.  Sometimes, feeding and watering myself everyday is enough!
Pipa loves to play, but often it is not with toys. The creature can entertain herself for hours with a bottle cap! She reminds me that all of these expensive gadgets I have, are just things. If I had nothing, I would find a way to make kicking around a bottle cap, like my little cat Pipa, exciting.
I tried to train Pipa to use the toilet.  There are attachments that can be put inside of a toilet to do the training in steps; the end result is a potty trained cat.  This did not suit Pipa, but my love for her didn't waiver. She taught me that people are going to love me no matter my accomplishments. It doesn't matter if I make an A on my Calculus final, or if I ever finish school. People love me because I am me and being me is pretty easy. Pipa is my cat now, not just a foster, and she puts a smile on my face every single morning.
